ENGLISH: This multitouch shop window is the first true multitouch interactive window to be installed in North America. It’s a 50″ through glass capacitive foil with a rear projection foil displaying videos of ARTV, a Radio Canada TV channel promoting arts and culture. The application has been developed by our team of programmers, and it represents a wall of videos, as well as a cloud or galaxy, and also an interactive map showing each video in its proper location in Québec. The users can use dual touch gestures as zooming in and out in order to visualize more or less content. Those gestures are implemented in each of the 3 different view mode. More multitouch gestures will soon be implemented. The idea behind this installation is to offer a new multimedia environment where artists and programmers will, as time pass by, develop special projects in order to push the new trend of multitouch surfaces.
